Flawless moroba-zukuri tanto by Bizen Harumitsu dated Eisho 8 (the year 1511). With a beautiful jitetsu and boar theme koshirae. Long running chikei flow through the ji. Ubu, signed and dated in a wonderful polish that bring out the quality of the jiba well.
HARUMITSU (春光), 1st gen., Eishō (永正, 1504-1521), Bizen – “Bishū Osafune Harumitsu” (備州長船春光), “Bishū no jū Osafune Jurōzaemon no Jō Harumitsu saku” (備州之住長船十郎左衛門尉春光作), “Bishū no Kuni Osafune Harumitsu saku” (備州国長船春光作), first name Shinjirō (新二郎), he was the second son of the 1st gen. Harumitsu (治光) and changed his first name later to Jūrōzaemon (十郎左衛門), there is also the theory that he was the younger brother of the 1st gen. Harumitsu, we know date signatures from the third to the sixth year of Eishō (1506-1509)
