A nagamaki (長巻) is a traditional Japanese pole weapon featuring a long, single-edged blade with an extended handle wrapped in a katana-style tsuka-maki (hilt wrapping). It was used by samurai during the Kamakura (1185–1333) and Muromachi (1336–1573) periods and was particularly effective for powerful sweeping cuts and anti-cavalry combat.
