Resheathing the Blade (Nōsatsu, 納刀)

Steps for Resheathing:

  1. Align the Blade Correctly:
    • Position the mune (spine) against the inside of the saya.
  2. Slowly Insert the Blade:
    • Slide the blade into the saya smoothly without forcing it.
    • Avoid touching the ha (edge) to the inside walls.
  3. Secure the Blade Fully:
    • Once fully inserted, check that the habaki sits snugly inside the koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard).
