Hidetoki Naginata with mounts. This blade is in full polish and has two sets of papers, TK NBTHK and NTHK NPO, both authenticating the mei as Mino (Noshu) Seki Kanetoki, who worked in Kanbun (1665). It is in sakizori with mitsumune, a low shinogi and itame hada. It has a gonome midare hamon with ko-nie and a ko-maru boshi. It has naginata hi on both sides, and an ubu, one hole nakago. Second generation Hidetoki is well documented among noted naginata makers. It has a natural wood pole with black lacquer over the tang area bearing a family crest. There is some damage to an area of wrap on the pole and one of the fittings on the pole needs to be adjusted. The original saya is present as well. The blade is very attractive with no important flaws to detract enjoyment, though there is a very small area of large grain.
