This is an exceptionally long and graceful tachi from the Kozori Bizen school, who are generally associated with smiths working in the later part of Nambokucho. This sword measures a grand 71.2cm in length with a deep sori and kissaki, reminding one of the masterpieces of the Kamakura period. The sword is generally out of polish but a makoake was done in the monouchi showing a gonome hamon with utsuri. There are a few course areas and two very small hakobore. Papers to:
Bizen (no) Kuni Osafune Kozori Ieshige.
This is great sword from the Bizen tradition and worth considering for a full restoration.
